Artist's Comments

This is how some of my photos ended their short expressive lives, as newspaper advertisment for the norwegian army.

Can you translate the writing please?

And this proves you have talent, the army wouldn't chuck any old rubbish out. They want to present the best possible image.

Escape from the sticks!

Treefingerer - a highly recommended writer, also from the sticks

"But there comes a point in life, a moment. Where your mind outlives it's desires, it's obssions. When your habits survive your dreams, and when your loses...maybe death is a gift. You wonder." - David Gale "The Life of David Gale"
:iconchrzz:
And just for the record, I made the ad (I worked with KjetilOfNorway in the army) :D
:iconpkekyo:
It's a poor translation, but here goes:

"The army's breaking the limits.
From central-Troms and Østerdalen, we produce forces capable of taking part in operations throughout the entire world.
From Bardufoss to the Balkans, From Koppang to Kabul - We are supposed to function anywhere.
To solve conflicts, and contribute to a safer world."

Congrats on the ad Kjetil, I'm glad to see one of your great photos used like this, really says something about their quality.

Also, I think knives are a good idea. Big, fuck-off shiny ones.
Ones that look like they could skin a crocodile.
Guns for show, knives for a pro.
